How to Open a Bed and Breakfast

Opening a bed and breakfast is a challenging task and not for everyone. If you've always dreamed of having your own B&B, make sure you know what's involved so your dream doesn't turn to a nightmare. Follow these steps:

1. Assess whether or not you have the personality to be a good B&B host. You need to be outgoing and friendly at all times. You need to be on call 24/7. Talk to some bed and breakfast owners. Ask about their day-to-day activities. Is this the kind of life you're prepared to lead?

2. Find a location that is not only a place you'd like to live and work, but is also a place visitors would come to. This might be in or near a popular tourist spot, or it might be an out-of-the-way corner where passers-through can stop for rest and good food. Make sure there is something distinctive and alluring about the surroundings.

3. Check the zoning laws in the area. Be aware that not all cities allow bed and breakfasts. You must also check if there are any food service restrictions. If you're remodeling or restoring an older building, make sure you comply with all local building codes. Your contractor should be handling this for you, but it's your responsibility, so check on him.

4. Create a business plan. You need to know as closely as possible, what your costs will be in order to set your prices. Talk to other bed and breakfast owners, who may be willing to share their numbers with you. You can also contact the American Bed and Breakfast Association (ABBA, or a similar organization in your country) for any guidelines they may have.

5. Determine the number of guests you'll have at any one time. If you have more than five guest rooms in the U.S., you'll have to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. This may entail installing wheelchair ramps and other handicap conveniences and providing handicap parking.

6. Check the competition in your chosen area. You'll need to set your prices to stay competitive and you may find a way to get an edge by offering services they don't.

7. Be realistic about your marketing costs when creating your marketing plan. They can be expensive. Find ways to get free press - press releases, articles in travel magazines, editorial coverage of your special events, etc.

8. Put up a website and get your B&B listed in all the guides and directories. Keep an eye on the competition's advertising. What's working for them could work for you.

9. Hire staff as needed. At first you'll need a housekeeper for sure. As your bed and breakfast grows more popular, you may need to add a cook, a bartender, a waiter and a gardener.

10. It's a good idea to hire a reservation service, like B&B Midwest Reservations. This will not only reduce your workload, but it will eliminate the need to get and pay for a credit card merchant account and it will expose your B&B to a wider audience of potential future guests than you could do on your own. It's somewhat costly, so use your judgment and don't forget to take these fees into consideration when setting your prices.

11. Set up the rules of your bed and breakfast. Things to consider include hours of check-in and checkout, whether or not pets will be welcomed, cancellation and late arrival policies, whether children and smoking will be allowed.

12. Plan the details that will keep your guests returning - a good wine list, excellent food, spotless rooms, tours of local attractions and those special personal touches.

13. Join ABBA and other useful organizations like your local chamber of commerce. This will increase awareness of your business in the community.

Follow these steps carefully and turn your bed and breakfast dream into a reality.

How to Maintain Emotional Intelligence and Positive Thinking in the Ballet World

Deborah sets forth with help for you, the would-be ballerina or male ballet dancer, to gain more understanding and control over the demanding world you live in.

Any student of music, writing, and performing of any kind, needs to know some survival techniques to maintain emotional intelligence, and stick with positive thinking. Every new class, with new exams, and fierce competitions, can instigate implosions of self-doubts. How do you take command of your mental and emotional space before that important event? Or so you can sleep well every night?

Deborah designed this book so that teens and pre-teens could discover that there is a way to begin a dialogue about self-sabotaging beliefs and thoughts that so influence their patterns of behavior and success. This 48 page book introduces eight teens with common problems and challenges such as how to take charge of your feelings and how to perform like a pro in the dance studio or anywhere and everywhere. You will learn techniques such as Mental Rehearsing, Creating a Feeling, Refocusing and a very powerful Acting as If. These fun (but seriously amazing) activities will help to train your brain - whether a teen or an adult late starter in ballet - towards success.

As a ballet teacher, I've always recommended to students to look outside the dance classes for ways to help manage their frustrations, fears and struggles with the competitive and perfectionist aspects of the performing arts. I think that private and independent study is best for people - contemplation with direction, and applying uplifting creative techniques to maintain a positive perspective, in one's own way.

That in itself is the challenge - finding one's own way. "Train Your Brain: A Teen's Guide To Well Being" is a wonderful first step on that path.

The Coolest Ways to Compare 4WD's

Four wheel drive vehicles, or 4WDs, are great for more steep or rugged driving applications. But how should someone select a four wheel drive which will meet all the specifications in terms of performance? One useful way for a consumer to go about doing this is to compare 4x4s in terms of their performance capacities and other attributes. This will give the individual a sense of which ones will suit his or her needs best.

Check out some of the following cool ways to compare 4x4 vehicles.

Off Road Performance: One category in which consumers can make comparisons regarding a new 4X4 is in the area of off road performance. How well do various models perform on steep inclines, stones, slippery areas, in water, and so on. An individual can search the internet for information on these various attributes as well as ask dealers or previous users about them. If off road use is one of the intended uses for the vehicle (which is a common motivation for buying a 4WD vehicle) this is one of the most important attributes.

Towing Capacity Towing capacity is an important attribute of an SUV if you are planning to use it for this kind of work application. Find out how much weight various 4WDs are rated to tow. This is usually given in Kilograms. The consumer should consider the probable weight of items they might be involved in towing and then see which 4WDs are weight rated for those amounts. They can use this for comparison purposes between vehicles, weighing it with the other attributes they are interested in.

Ground Clearance If someone is planning on using their new 4x4 vehicle for off road purposes, ground clearance is an important item to pay attention to. They will want to consider the types of off road environments in which they might be driving and see which off road vehicle would perform best. Will they be driving in rocky areas, forest locations? Beaches? Mud? Gravel? Irregular areas that may combine any of these? They should compare various vehicles based on clearance, always remembering that extra clearance, not merely the minimum, is ideal.

Tires The types of tires on a new 4x4 can affect issues like traction, hill climbing ability, clearance, and comfort of the ride. Consumers should see what size of tire various 4WD vehicles take and also look at the variety of different sizes available for specific models. They should also pay attention to tread types and the capacity of tires for different road and weather conditions.

Engine The engine size in cubic centimeters, the number of liters, the horsepower, the number of cylinders, and so forth should all factor into a 4WD comparison. Applications like climbing, towing, fast on or off road racing will require stronger engines. If someone is unsure how much power their engine requires they may want to aim higher in a general sense in order to insure that the engine in the vehicle selected will be adequate.

Read Reviews

There are numerous review websites, ezines, and auto magazines that review 4WDs. Looking at user and critical reviews can be a good source of comparative material on various models. The advantageous thing about reviews is that they give more than technical information. They let a consumer know in qualitative terms what experiences drivers have had with the vehicle in question.

Test Drive Finally, it is important to test drive various 4WD vehicles to see which ones feel the best as far as comfort, handling, and interior features (dashboard controls, lights, air conditioning, and sound system, etc). Even if an individual can't test drive the vehicle in rugged conditions, just driving it around the dealership or on a nearby road can give the driver a feel for its attributes.

The Calling Card Alternative

For a few years now, the calling cards business is booming. Everywhere you go, everywhere you search you might find one: in WallMarts, grocery stores, newspaper stands, vending machines in coffee shops. But the place you can find the most of these long distance alternatives is the internet. A quick search on Google, Yahoo or other search engines will reveal thousands of websites that sell calling cards. So,it's an easy pick, one might say. Well... not quite.

According to the FCC, almost 70% of the calling card businesses are fraudulent. Meaning mostly that they get your money but you don't get the calling card. That means that you have to be very careful when choosing a website to buy from. On top of that, calling cards vary in number and features, so you have to choose the one appropriate to your needs. Their low rates however, come with a price at times. Companies selling calling cards use VoIP technology and other third party carriers to complete their calls. While not as expensive as a satellite connection (hence the low rates), this technology is at the beginning, so problems may occur from time to time. This is why calling cards are not usually recommended for emergency calls. For calls within the United States however, calls made with calling cards (also known as phone cards) have a good quality and connection rate, given that you have found a good supplier.

So here are the steps you need to take to get the best out of your calling card purchase:

- Find a reliable website (this means no weird pop-ups, no advertisement of Viagra on the website - you get my point).

- Take a look at the available calling cards and rates.

- Check out any details of calling cards: usually, next to or underneath the picture of the calling card there is a link that will take you to a "Details" page. Look for maintenance fees, rounding, any other surcharges, expiration dates.

- If you intend to make a lot of long calls over a short period of time, choose a card with a maintenance fee. This means that a certain amount will be deducted from your balance each week/month until you use up the card. But if you plan to make so many calls, you'll probably use the card up by the time the maintenance fee is deducted. Calling cards with maintenance fees also tend to have lower rates.

- If you use the card just once in a while, choose a card with no maintenance fee. These cards usually have higher rates, but you don't have to worry about your balance going down if you do not use the card.

- Look for a Customer Service number. Reliable companies have Customer Service, in case their customers have questions or problems.

After this, get the card you this is best for your needs and wait for it to arrive in the email. Unless otherwise specified, you should be able to use it immediately. Good luck!

List Building - How Effective is Article Marketing for Your List Building Campaign?

I am going to cut right to the chase here and tell you I think article marketing is incredibly important to your list building campaign.

Over the last few months, I have tried a variety of traffic sources, many of which have been successful in terms of building my list, from a quantity of new subscribers, but where the article marketing wins hands down is in the responsiveness of the subscribers.

My email open rate is highest among article readers. My click through rate is highest among my article-based subscribers. And the bulk of my income has been from the article-based subscribers.

So how do I do it?

1) I write articles geared towards the niche market of my list.

2) I add a bio to my articles that includes the particular web page that has an opt in form for a subscriber list of that niche market.

3) I submit my articles to the various online article directories.

4) The traffic comes in, and I receive subscribers.

I know I make it sound simple, but that is because it really is simple. If you haven't tried article marketing in your list building efforts, give it a shot today. You will be pleasantly surprised at the results, in my humble opinion.

Tips For Getting Even Greater Productivity From Your Turf Equipment

Whether you purchase your grounds keeping equipment new or have a used Toro in your vehicle fleet, every piece of equipment will eventually age. It is important to keep every vehicle and tool in the best shape possible to ensure a long service life to keep down costs and prevent an untimely breakdown from ruining a gold course's maintenance schedule. Let's take a look at what it takes to keep that used Toro and other used turf equipment in the best working order.

When To Perform Maintenance

During the growing and playing seasons, it is difficult to make time to really keep a careful eye on every piece of equipment. That used Toro mower is put into service daily, so there is not a lot of spare time to do thorough maintenance and repairs. However, during the active seasons, every little bit of work will add up to keep used turf equipment in the best shape.

Make it a priority to do even a quick wash and cleaning on a mower and always check the oil on any engine before running the motor. On a rainy or slow day, lube the fittings and pull off the guards and do a better cleaning, this will allow you to better spot any potential problems.

In addition, the winter season allows crews the time to do major work on their used turf equipment. Be prepared to spend a good deal of time servicing every piece of machinery so that they will be in the best shape for the next year's busy seasons.

Let's take a look at a few of the best upkeep habits to get into each winter season.

Winter Work

First focus on all of the parts of a used Toro that see the most work. This means checking all of the mower and drive belts for cracks and other signs of wear. Throwing a belt on the first day of spring is a safety hazard and will quickly get any crew behind schedule.

Relieve the tension on the belts and check each pulley for a smooth rotation and quiet bearings, then replace and lube as necessary. Then, check the blades on the mower. A new set of blades or even just a re-sharpening will restore a precise, clean cut. It is amazing the difference in greens cut by a fresh blade as compared to a dull blade.

During the course of a year, most engines should have an oil change every 25-50 hours. Even if the schedule does not call for a change, make sure to have fresh oil in the engine as it sits over the winter. Use an air hose to clean off radiator coils and cooling fins. Use fuel stabilizer to winterize all used turf equipment. Clean off all electrical connections and attach batteries to a trickle charger. Check tires for any leaks and fill them back up, uneven tire pressure will result in uneven cuts.

These maintenance tips are designed to keep your used Toro or any mower in the best condition once the new season hits and to protect your investment for years to come.

Champagne

Champagne is without question the finest sparkling wine made in the world. Champagne is the name of the wine region located about 90 miles northeast of Paris.

Champagne can contain up to three different grapes: Chardonnay, and the red grapes Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Vintage Champagnes are only produced in the very best years; they are always more expensive than non-vintage Champagnes, but they are not always better tasting. Most Champagnes are the supreme expression of the Champagne blender's art, assembled from numerous vintages, multiple grape types and various selected vineyards within the Champagne district, then carefully hand made and fermented in the bottle. By making these blends, the Champagne winemakers are able to create a consistent ''house'' style and, indeed, each Champagne producer has its own distinct style.

Finally, there are several important terms you will encounter on a Champagne label that tell you much about the contents. From dry to sweet, Champagnes are labeled Brut Absolut, Brut, Extra-Dry, Sec, Demi-Sec and Doux. Blanc de Blanc Champagne bottlings are made entirely from Chardonnay grapes and tend to be lighter and more delicate in style. Blanc de Noirs Champagnes are made from red grapes and tend to be fuller bodied and richer tasting; Rose Champagnes are dark pink in color and frequently intensely flavored.

Champagne Wine Tip:

In Champagne, the name and reputation of the producer tells you more about the wine than any other single factor. Champagnes combine the complexities of fine grapes grown in some of the best vineyards in France with the intricate subtleties of yeast and sometimes even oak elements plus the experience of tongue-tickling delight from pinpoint bubbles and effervescence to create one of the most sensual taste experiences in the world!

Gratefulness

Gratefulness brings a great fullness to life. The choice to adopt and hold a moment-by-moment attitude of gratitude is the choice that differentiates those who suffer the slings and arrows of misfortune and those who are blessed with a joyous and abundant life.

Yes, that is correct. It is not the actual events and circumstances that occur during one's journey through life that determine whether or not a person is happy and prosperous; it is the conscious and willful choice to be grateful for all the bounty that life has to offer AND to be grateful for the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the experience of life, which enables and empowers any individual, regardless of circumstance, to have a fulfilling life.

Like everything else on the path to mastery, gratitude is a choice. You can choose to wait for some meaningfully pleasant situation to arise and then feel gratitude in response, or you can choose to be grateful at all times, in all circumstances, and watch as the world conspires to assist you in your path.

If you are grateful for what you already have, the world will conspire to give you more to be grateful for. If you are resentful of what you already have, the world will conspire to give you more to resent.

Moreover, the true master learns to be grateful, in advance, for the things that are idealized and desired. Why? Because, being grateful in advance for some attainment or accomplishment does two very important things: one...it tricks your subconscious into believing that the goal is certain and two...it convinces other people, with whom you must interact to achieve your desires, that you know what you are about, that you are a winner, not a whiner.

When your subconscious is convinced that the goal is certain, it will provide the ways and means of fulfilling or achieving that goal. Since your subconscious is connected to the great collective subconscious of humanity, it also informs this 'morphic field' of your profound intent and the result is that the people, resources and conditions for fulfillment show up in your life. All because you chose to be grateful...in advance of the havingness. The act of being grateful in advance is proof of your faith and belief in the actuality, eventuality and realness of the manifestation of your desired ideal.

When other people are convinced that you are convinced of the realness of your goals, they will rally around you and provide both physical and metaphysical support for you and your goals.

The benefits of physical support (the investment of time, effort and money) to support you and your goals are obvious. What may not be obvious, to those unfamiliar with the laws of the universe, is that the metaphysical support is even more crucial. The added belief of others in you and your goals brings an 'aura' of success about you that creates, in turn, even more support for you.

The knowledge that all things, existent and potential, are, at their pure essence, a myriad of interlocking and interwoven vibrations of pure energy and that the emanations of your consciousness (and the emanations of the other individual consciousnesses of the people who associate with you) interfere with and interact with preexisting vibrations to create new patterns that result in the manifestation of actualities is what denotes wisdom and mastery.

All this, and more, happens when you choose to hold and to express gratefulness for what you have and what you claim or expect to have as you journey through life.

Begin each day with an expression of your gratitude for all the blessings that life has bestowed upon you and your day will be filled with even more and greater blessings.

The choice is yours. Every breath you breathe can be an expression of gratitude. Existing in a state of gratefulness is very alike existing in a state of grace.

Being grateful denotes your knowledge of, and application of, one of the most important aspects of creation...who you are and how you are produces what you have. And, of course, makes what you have all that much more en-JOY-able.

3 Poems Of An Artist's Crazy Moods: "The Vacancy Left Behind; Inside Of Me; On Display"

"The Vacancy Left Behind "

It's hard to leave such vacancy behind. There are qualities I may have missed. Isn't everything more complex than what was first observed? How simple to decide this spot was useless. This pebble, soft spoken stone. This avenue that spoke of being no where. I missed that it was adjacent to an explosion of well meaning gestures. I missed the sight of a hollow bamboo that stood silent before the ever moving currents of the seaside. I missed the warm, breathing wind that brought tiny grains of sand and touched my skin on lonely days. I missed the memories of reflective thoughts. I should have measured them; the treasures that unfolded while sitting still. I missed I missed the vacancy left behind.

"Inside Of Me"

I feel lonely for the things I ran away from. Everything feels so loud now. The voices I did not cherish, then are put in boxes screaming to get out.

This piece inside of me perhaps in you. This mystery, uncharted routes that lead to hidden closets, spaces, voices. lyrical musings hums and secrets. Alone in deed and conflict. I failed to find myself.

There are answers-- I know it. There are ribbons and sequins sticks and leaves green under my feet.

I can make a little boat here. Blades of grass will be my sail. There is a ribbon in my pocket and a note I carried well.

There are words that could not be spoken neglected smiles kindness' that should have been given easily replacing my tight and uncomely mouth.

There are moments in the note that help me pace myself. I can neglect them here or I can feel them now.

"On Display"

Little pieces in the way, creating clutter. Little pieces of my soul (on fire) set out on display. Magnified a thousand times to me - I guess you see? Little pieces on tables and walls, collecting dust. I scrubbed them all, but time won't come out of the crevices. Collected emotions that I felt yesterday. Collected in the crevices, days of inspiration, hours of lost worlds. A focus no one knows of, a temporary lapse of reality. I am reminded of someone I don't always know. It is me.

When Beautiful Isn't Pretty

Have you ever been in close proximity to someone who is so good looking, you can't help staring at them? He or she is drop-dead gorgeous--that is, until you get to know them better.

We've all met beautiful people who don't hold our interest once they open their mouths and have nothing interesting or worthwhile to say. Maybe they only talk about themselves, or they might begin to say or do things that are mean-spirited. Suddenly they don't seem so attractive anymore.

On the other hand, someone we don't regard as physically attractive at first can begin to shine in our eyes because of their kindness, compassion, sense of humor, or maybe even their appreciation of us.

Once while looking for lipstick in a major department store, I was approached by a beautiful young salesperson asking if she could help me. Because I'd been having a difficult week and was feeling a little blue that afternoon, I was grateful for her offer of assistance. No one else was waiting to be served, so we began to look at lipstick colors together, and I tried several on my wrist to see if the color looked good with my skin tones. She was friendly and smiling though I was having a hard time deciding which one I wanted. As there was no mirror on the counter, at one point I turned around and looked into the mirrored column behind me to see which one looked best against my face, and suddenly saw her face in the mirror behind me, rolling her eyes and grimacing as though in exasperation. Stunned, I quickly turned back around and looked her in the eye. Immediately the grimace vanished and she tried to cover her number by smiling at me broadly. It didn't work. I handed her back the lipstick, unsmiling, staring at her suddenly-too-bright eyes, then turned and left without a word.

Her message had been all too clear even though she hadn't meant for me to receive it! I was an annoyance to her because I was taking too long to make a decision. Why? There were no other customers at her counter. She hadn't appeared to be busy in any way when she first approached me. Yet she seemed contemptuous of me for some reason.

Because she had revealed her lack of kindness, caring, and compassion, she lost a sale, a potential future customer, and any respect or appreciation I initially had for her. Not only that, but I no longer saw her as beautiful. Her attractiveness had stopped being an asset for her.

The moral to this story: If you want to be truly beautiful, remember to check your attitude while you're checking how you look in the mirror.

Tips for Selecting a Search Engine Marketing Company

Perhaps you have just launched a website or you have been working for some time trying to perfect the art of search engine optimization (SEO) but you have decided that you would like some professional help. If you are wondering how to choose a Search Engine Optimization Company, you have come to the right place. SEO is a powerful tool in improving the visibility of your site and ultimately your business or yourself. SEO can be a time consuming process, which is why a qualified SEO company can be a valuable resource. But beware! Not all Search Engine Optimization Companies are equal, so here are some tips about how to choose right one.

There are a massive number of Search Engine Optimization Companies that can be found by simply conducting an internet search. Of course, this does not necessarily help you when it comes to choosing a company that is right for you. More importantly, there are a number of firms that promise services they cannot provide. Nevertheless, if you know what to look for, you will find an effective Search Engine Optimization Company.

Tip # 1: No SEO Company can Guarantee a #1 Ranking.

Many Search Engine Optimization companies will promise you top ranking on Google or other search provider searches. It is impossible to guarantee a #1 ranking and you would have good reason to doubt the qualifications of any SEO firm that makes such a promise.

Tip #2: Get Recommendations.

Nothing beats word of mouth recommendations when it comes to finding qualified professionals that provide valuable services. Speak to friends, colleagues, and even other business owners about their experiences with different companies.

Tip #3: Research the Company.

Make sure to do your research on the history and successes of any potential Search Engine Optimization Company before you decide to do business with them. A simple online search can provide a wealth of information about SEO companies, including comments in forums from past clients.

Tip #4: Ask for a Proof.

If you plan to hire a company to optimize your site, it only makes sense to have a look at other sites they have worked on. If a SEO company is not willing to share other sites that they have worked on, this should be a warning to you. Websites are not confidential, so you should be able to ask for a few examples of past work.

Tip #5: Check their Own Site.

If a SEO company has done a poor job of optimizing their own site, this is an indication that they will not be able to help you. Alternatively, if their site ranks well in searches and is optimized for keywords, you know they know their business.

Tip #6: Consider the Cost.

Obviously, every business has a budget so you need to make sure the SEO company you choose fits into y our budget. Still, a high price does not necessarily guarantee quality and a cheap price may also indicate poor quality. While your budget needs to be a consideration, you should put more weight on the qualifications and success record of a particular SEO company. In addition, you should not expect to get a professional SEO company for pennies. A qualified SEO professional should quote a realistic price.

Tumors of the Eye : An Introduction

Tumors arising from the eyeball are termed intraocular if they are confined to the eyeball. Extraocular spread and a re-appearance (termed recurrence) after definite treatment is generally a harbinger of a poor response to therapy.

Ocular Melanoma:

Melanoma, a malignant tumor arising from pigment cells called melanocytes is often occurs in the uveal tract of the eye constituted by the iris, ciliary body and choroid.

Iris melanomas often present in Caucasians as a brown nodule over the iris that deforms the pupil. Left untreated, iris melanomas tend to perforate the eyeball. The Ciliary body and choroid are covered by the white sclera and visible only when the pupil is widely dilated. A diffuse (mushroom or collar button shaped) mass with dilated blood vessels, in a person between 40-50 years, would suggest a ciliary body or choroid melanomas.

Choroidal Melanoma is the most common of all uveal tract melanomas. A person between 40-50 years of age may suddenly develop a mushroom or collar button shaped mass in the choroid. This growth is a choroidal melanoma, the most common among all the uveal tract melanomas.

Retinoblastoma:

Sometimes, a child is taken to an eye specialist on account of a peculiar the yellow reflection from the eye. The child's eyes resemble those of a cat. This reflection is due to a malignant intraocular tumor called retinoblastoma, arises from immature retinal cells (or retinoblasts). Retinoblastomas spread to the extra-ocular tissues like the optic nerve and brain. It may also involve the bony socket called the orbit, where the eyeball is lodged.

Lymphoma

Lymphoma, a white blood cell tumor, is seen as a discrete tissue mass anywhere in the body, for example the eye, lymph glands and the gut. Intraocular lymphoma affects the inner layers of the eyeball (retina or choroid). Lymphomas are usually bilateral, affecting both the eyes. Like all other lymphomas, ocular lymphomas are managed by radiotherapy, which can literally melt the tumor.

Using Drug Detoxification As an Alternative For a Healthier Body

Some drugs can be lifesaving, but others can be unbelievably destructive. As part of treating drug addicts, many health professionals advocate the use of drug detoxification as a part of their treatment.

This cleanses the addict's body of residue left behind by illicit drugs and alcohol and is believed to improve their chances at rehabilitation. In this article, we'll explain how this process can give former addicts a new lease on life.

Drug use leaves residue in the body, so drug detoxification is intended to clean away those leftover substances. Residues of many drugs - including LSD, phencyclidine, cocaine, marijuana and diazepam - are known to accumulate in the body. These compounds can stay in the body for a long time after the drug use has stopped - especially in heavy drug users.

Once a person attempts to give up their habit, physical and behavioral problems can follow as a result of withdrawal. A cleansing and detoxification program is intended to minimize those symptoms.

There are a number of different drug detoxification methods available. Ideally, a reputable drug treatment center will incorporate counseling and therapy during detox body cleansing to deal with the issues that led to the individual's abuse of drugs and alcohol.

The removal of drug residuals is a key goal and without this process, drug residues can remain in the body and cause cravings for years after drug use has ceased. A vital step in a successful program, as well as drug rehabilitation, is flushing out these accumulated toxic residues so that the individual no longer experiences unwanted adverse effects from the drugs they have taken.

Drug residues and other toxic substances can remain locked in fatty tissues of the body and can be released into the blood stream years after the person has stopped taking drugs. These residuals can cause cravings for more drugs.

This is why these toxins must be cleansed from the body. Drug detox programs usually include an exercise regiment, regular sauna treatments and nutritional supplements. These are all intended to rid the body of fatty tissues contaminated with drug residue.

Drug detoxification is believed to be a powerful tool to help addicts stay clean and sober. By reducing the toxins in their system, the painful withdrawal symptoms are minimized and they can focus their attention on coping with their emotional issues. Counseling to address the psychological, social and behavioral problems that can lead to addiction is an essential component of any detox program.

Without it, former addicts will not know how to deal with the stressors that led to substance abuse in the first place. When a detoxification program is used in tandem with psychological treatment, drug users and alcoholics are given a better chance at leading a healthy and productive life.

About Working from Home

Why do so many people want to work from home and what is it that inspires so many to follow this avenue of earning an income? These are questions that I asked myself also when I first considered Home Based Business and contemplated the possibility of joining this growing community of people.

From my experience having been involved in working from home on and off for 8 years, I have found 2 main reasons.

Firstly, there is the financial aspect. People want to earn greater incomes and be rewarded appropriately for the effort they put into their chosen profession. Many people are not rewarded properly for their work output and when comparing themselves to the output of others, are disillusioned and depressed about the whole matter.

Secondly there is the time aspect. Most people seem to have to commit most of their life to an occupation that they really don't like and certainly don't enjoy. Time is spent travelling to and from work, especially in the larger cities, way beyond what anybody would reasonably expect to do. More is being demanded from employees today in the time that you are at work, to the point where you get home and go to bed through exhaustion.

You could summarise this by saying people basically want financial freedom to devote more time to families and to the things they would like to do more often. A Better Lifestyle.

These are very real and great desires, but I have learned that working from home brings rewards way beyond anything I ever thought possible!!

Life really is about relationships, with your God, with families and with those you meet on a day to day basis. Without relationships, of any sort, you will lead a very boring and depressing life. With home based business comes the added bonus of meeting many different people, in many different circumstances, in ways that really bless you and sometimes infuriate you!!!

You must learn and appreciate quickly that people are your greatest asset in life and indeed in Home Based Business also. Without day to day contact with others, your business will not grow. You may think that you can work the internet and grow a home based business devoid of contact with people, but at the end of the day, who is pushing the mouse and hitting the keys on the keyboards? You are still working with people.

You still need to develop relationships with those whom you choose to work with. Without genuine relationships, your business will fail.

Can I suggest to you that to gain financial freedom and time to enjoy life more fully, you need to remember that people are your greatest asset. Whether you work online only or in network marketing, you need people. You need their input into your life and into that of your business.

You need to learn to treat people with greater respect, for who they are, for what they know and for how you may ''help each other'', not what can ''I'' get out of them!!

Look at successful business people or leaders that you know and learn from them, notice their good points and build those points into your own life, rather than noticing their bad points and just criticising them! Learn to build people up, rather than knocking them down. Treat people as Jesus said to do, like you would have them treat you. There is untold wisdom in those very words alone!

In Network Marketing, in Home Based Business, your first step is to align yourself in an opportunity that you feel passionate about, one which you agree with morally and that you can relate to fully. The next step is to then become a disciple to your leaders, to your upline. You need to be teachable, able to adapt to change and with your own life experiences added, success begins to come, as you follow instructions and see your business grow.

As you grow as a person, as your business grows, you will notice that the 2 go hand in hand. I have seen many times over that those who succeed, are those willing to embrace change; and the major change occurs in themselves.

Always remember this, if nothing else from this article; You are the sum total of all the decisions that You have made in your life. If you are not happy with your lot, then you need to do something about it, not anybody else, YOU need to change something.

As your business grows, as you grow into a stronger more able person you will see your downline grow. You will notice that you are teaching those you sell your product to, about correct usage, to gain the benefits they desire. You will notice that you are training those that become distributors in your organisation. You will notice that the Disciple has become a Discipler.

You will notice that when you fully commit yourself to any endeavour, especially Home Based Business, that you become ''richer as a person'' first, and then as you grow with your business, the rewards come, the financial freedom and the greater income begins to arrive at your door.

The greatest goal is to enjoy life and enjoy it to the full, again a great promise, made by a very wise man, who came to give us that life.
